Dr. Ludger Vogt

CHAIRMAN OF THE EXECUTIVE BOARD, CEO SMART COMMERCE SE

Dr. Ludger Vogt studied computer science at RWTH Aachen University and received his doctorate in information management in 1992. After several positions at Oracle and Daimler Crysler, he joined Intershop in 1996. There he held various management positions and was significantly involved in the restructuring of Intershop in 2007. Thanks to this, Intershop was able to significantly increase product sales and expand its international sales activities. In 2008, Dr. Vogt was appointed to the Board of Directors for Sales and Consulting. In 2012, Ludger Vogt founded Smart Commerce SE.

Frank Schneider

EXECUTIVE BOARD /BOARD OF DIRECTORS, COO SMART COMMERCE SE

Frank Schneider studied technical computer science at the University of Cooperative Education in Karlsruhe from 1989 to 1992. During his studies he already worked in the field of software and hardware sales in the Karlsruhe area. Subsequently, Mr. Schneider was responsible for setting up and supporting NeXT systems at Cube Informations­systeme GmbH in Stuttgart. After only two years, he took over the management of the company, which was meanwhile engaged in software development in the field of web-based applications and document archiving. In 1997, the company was taken over by Intershop in Jena and a Professional Services branch was successfully founded in Stuttgart under Mr Schneider's management. Between 2008 and 2013, the number of employees increased very strongly and record results were achieved. In 2013, Frank Schneider joined the management team as Chief Operation Officer.

Ingo Körber

EXECUTIVE BOARD, COO SMART COMMERCE SE

Ingo Körber studied electrical engineering at Ulm University of Applied Sciences, majoring in technical computer science. In 1993 he started his career as a software developer and project manager at Telenet Munich. In 1998, he joined the Technical Research Team at TPS Labs, where he was responsible for the product development and technical conception of a web-based CRM solution. In March 2000, he founded the company eCube in Munich together with three of his TPS Labs colleagues. In 2003, Mr. Körber entered into a partnership with SAP Hybris in the field of eCommerce. Together with Nils Neugebauer, he founded niin GmbH in Leipzig in 2015 and continued the successful implementation of SAP Hybris solutions in wholesale. The merger with Smart Commerce SE followed in 2017. With the merger, niin GmbH board member Ingo Körber becomes part of the Smart Commerce board as COO.

Our Supervisory Board

The Supervisory Board is chaired by Claudia Rothe, Managing Director for Finance, Controlling, Legal and Insurance and Information Technology of the fischer group of companies.

Claudia Rothe

CHAIRMAN OF THE SUPERVISORY BOARD SMART COMMERCE SE

Claudia Rothe studied economics at the University of Hohenheim, majoring in foreign trade and business taxation. After graduating in 2000, Ms. Rothe began her professional career at Ebner Stolz & Partner in Stuttgart, where she successfully passed the tax advisor exam in 2004 and the auditor exam in 2006 and was appointed authorised signatory in 2007. After working for several years as an auditor and tax consultant, Ms Rothe joined the fischer group of companies in 2014 and was responsible for the group's global treasury, accounting and tax department in her role as head of finance. Since January 2017, Ms Rothe has been responsible for the areas of finance, controlling, legal and insurance of the fischer group of companies as Managing Director.

Matthias Schneider

MEMBER OF THE SUPERVISORY BOARD SMART COMMERCE SE

Matthias Schneider studied business informatics at the Duale Hochschule in Stuttgart. During his studies he already gained eCommerce experience at businessMart AG. After completing his studies, Mr Schneider began working for nexMart GmbH & Co. KG in project management and business development. Since 2017, Matthias Schneider has been working at fischerwerke GmbH & Co. KG responsible for the e-commerce division. In his current position as divisional director digital services, he is responsible for e-commerce services as well as new digital business models.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Roland Fassauer

MEMBER OF THE BOARD SMART COMMERCE SE

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Roland Fassauer studied Applied Computer Science at the TH Leipzig from 1991 to 1996. While still a student, he co-founded the company Intershop Communications AG in Jena in 1995. After leaving the company in 2005, he co-founded Europe's leading online photo service Pixaco and accompanied its expansion into 14 European countries until its successful exit, a sale to HP in 2006. Also in 2005, he co-founded Mobizcorp GmbH in Berlin, a service provider for digital commerce solutions, where he is still involved today. In 2015, he took on the role of CIO at Rechnung.de - Decimo GmbH, a FinTech for online invoice pre-financing (factoring). Since 2005, he has been a board member of the Institute for Applied Informatics at the University of Leipzig (InfAI), which he co-founded. Mr Fassauer completed his doctorate in 2016 on the effect of personalisation in eCommerce and was appointed Professor of Product Management at the CODE University of Applied Sciences in Berlin in 2018.  Finally, he is involved in social and promotional activities as a Rotarian, as a benefactor at the Intershop Foundation and as a trustee of the Leipzig Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer.

Felix Geyer

EMPLOYEE REPRESENTATIVE ON THE SUPERVISORY BOARD OF SMART COMMERCE SE

Felix Geyer is the employee-elected representative on the Supervisory Board of Smart Commerce SE. As an autodidact, he acquired his expertise in software development mainly through self-study. While still at school, Mr Geyer was entrusted with the maintenance of the IT infrastructure and the further development of existing online offers at YAEZ GmbH. As a trainer, he gave lectures at schools on the topics of data protection and software development and supported young people in realising their own digital projects. In his position as a software developer, Mr Geyer worked at NETFORMIC GmbH until 2018. During this time, he was responsible, among other things, as Technical Lead for the successful implementation of the partner portal of a well-known online retailer. Since 2018, Mr Geyer has been employed as a consultant at Smart Commerce SE and is involved in the development of digital business models for the construction and trade industry.

Ingo Körber

HEAD OF DIGITAL CONSULTING

Ingo Körber started his career in 1993 as a software developer and project manager at Telenet Munich. Together with Nils Neugebauer, he founded niin GmbH in Leipzig in 2015 and continued the successful implementation of SAP Hybris solutions in wholesale. The merger with Smart Commerce SE followed in 2017. Ingo Körber has been COO since the merger and additionally Head of Digital Consulting since 2023.

Thomas Ernst

HEAD OF BACKEND

Thomas Ernst has been Head of Backend at Smart Commerce since 2023. With over 15 years of experience in IT, development and eCommerce, as well as 7 years of leadership experience, he has extensive expertise in team leading and building large web platforms in the eCommerce sector. His focus is on project management of complex eCommerce and marketplace projects as well as scalable software and system architecture. Thomas has industry knowledge in eCommerce, FMCG, logistics, (online) marketing, sales management and automotive. He is proficient in facilitation, workshop design and software project management in classic and agile environments.

Patrick Lorenz

HEAD OF FRONTEND

Patrick Lorenz has over 16 years of experience in software development. He has been Head of Frontend at Smart Commerce since 2023, where he is currently the main person responsible for the KION Group project. In the past, he was responsible for the analysis of previous eCommerce systems at various customers and carried out the planning, architecture and proposal preparation. Patrick has extensive expertise in the implementation of SAP projects, eCommerce projects in B2B, the implementation of payment providers, support in the operation of marketplaces and the coaching of new employees.

Sebastian Wetzel

DIRECTOR SALES AND MARKETING

Sebastian has over 20 years of experience in digitalisation, specialising in eCommerce, CMS and PIM. He started his career at intershop in 2000 before building up partner sales at 3U Telecom AG and tyntec from 2003. In 2012, he founded a startup for baby clothing and accessories, which he resold in 2017. Since 2017, he has been back in the eCommerce sector. There he built up the Leipzig location at dotSource before taking over responsibility for sales and marketing at Smart Commerce in 2021.

Albrecht Messner

HEAD OF DEVOPS

Albrecht has over 20 years of experience in software engineering as a Java developer, consultant and architect. After studying computer science at the University of Stuttgart, he first worked for a new-economy company in the field of mobile payments - several years before the iPhone existed. This was followed by 6 years in electronics retail in PIM and online shop projects and over 8 years at a leading car manufacturer, most recently mainly in the telematics environment. In 2019, Albrecht took over responsibility for DevOps and operations topics at Smart Commerce. In addition, he is responsible for internal IT.

Klaus Becker

HEAD OF DEVELOPMENT RESSOURCES

Klaus Becker has been Head of Development (Böblingen) at Smart Commerce since 2020. He started his career in the eCommerce sector with ordering and information systems as well as eCommerce platforms. He has been managing various customer projects for over 20 years. He is an expert in Intershop Commerce Management and also has extensive knowledge in business process analysis, requirements management, quality management, agile project management as well as data supply processes and PIM systems. With over 30 years of IT and 25 years of eCommerce experience, Klaus is a professional in project implementation, software design and architecture.

Matthias Kallfass

HEAD OF FISCHER PROJECTS

Matthias Kallfass has more than 20 years of experience in the eCommerce sector. He is an expert in eCommerce, architecture, software development and integration. His skills include team management, automated quality assurance, software build and deployment processes and release management. He has worked in customer projects for companies such as BAUR/empriecom, Merck, nexmart, Häfele, Styrolution and fischer. At Smart Commerce, he initially worked as Technical Manager and Software Architect. Since 2018, he has been Head of fischer Projects.

Jana Clauß

HEAD OF FINANCE AND CONTROLLING

After completing her commercial training, obtaining a degree in Business Studies with a focus on IT (Wirtschafts­ingenieurwesen Fachrichtung IT) and gaining practical experience in various companies, Jana Clauß studied at EAH Jena. During her studies, she worked as a working student in the Presales department at Intershop, where she established her first contacts in the eCommerce industry. This led her to join Smart Commerce as a Controller just one year after its founding. Since 2022, she has been leading the team as Head of Controlling & Finance.
