Our company is uniquely positioned technologically. With eCommerce-experienced experts and highly specialised technical know-how in many of the  eCommerce platforms, we implement all eCommerce processes - from online marketing to online shop, delivery and return management of sold goods. Through our partner network, we are able to optimally handle payment, credit card handling or address checks for our customers. 

The focus of our eShop solutions is on B2C and B2B business models.

Role-models

"We are convinced that a corporate culture like the Smart Way represents a significant competitive advantage in the competition for business partners and employees." 

The company founder had a lifelong dream, a special corporate culture. As early as 1989/1990, the working group "Responsibility in Technology" (AK VidT) of the Catholic University Community at the Technical University of Aachen (RWTH) had a project to investigate and evaluate corporate cultures. In this project, the founder of Smart Commerce analysed three particular models as examples and interpreted them under social, ethical and employee-oriented aspects:

1. The "HP company model”

The "HP Way" has not only given the Smart Commerce corporate culture its name, but also essential corporate values, such as mutual trust and respect, integrity and commitment to excellence. The essence of the HP Way – radical at the time of its creation – was that the human spirit of employees was the most important corporate resource, and that employees shared in the value of the company with shares and in the company's profits with dividends. 

Bill Hewlett: "I believe that men and women want to do excellent, creative work and will do it if they have the environment to do it." 

2. The "PSI Model”

The basic philosophy of the "PSI Model" is based on employee participation in value creation, profit, decision making and shaping the company. The following three basic features form the soul of the PSI model: 1) the shareholder status of many employees, 2) the internal decision-making bodies and 3) employee profit-sharing. 

Dietrich Jäschke: "The outstanding positive effect of the PSI self-determination model is the personality development that is integrated into the model: the personal development of the people and the development of the company are compatible and promote each other." 

3. The "Hoppmann Model”

Klaus Hoppmann developed the "Hoppmann Model" under the influence of the co-determination discussion of the 1960s and influenced by Protestant social ethics. As early as 1961, he introduced profit-sharing for all employees. In 1969, the economic committee provided for in the Works Constitution Act was given powers as the supreme supervisory and decision-making body that went far beyond its right to advise.
