Smart Customers.
Smart Business.

Smart Commerce supports its customers from different industries professionally, flexibly and cooperative in various problems.

“Smart Commerce helped us to introduce the necessary measures to launch the platform, kept an eye on possible risks by detailed and extensive analysis and constant cooperation. They advised us at any time and guided us continually in the right direction.“, said Stefan-Maria Creutz, CEO of Procato GmbH & Co. KG.

Due to the constant growing online demand in the craftsmen industry, a craftsmen portal as a common project of leading brand manufacturers was planned and developed since the beginning of 2012. The main target included the set-up of a platform for craftsmen and ambitious home improvers which unites not only the simplicity of eCommerce but also the services of the specialist shops. Thanks to the integrated three step distribution channel „MANUFACTURER-PLATFORM-SPECIALIST SUPPLIER“ the customers´ products can on request be delivered to the closest specialist shop and the customer must not miss the usual consulting service during the pick-up.

Due to the constant growing participation of currently more than 20 well-known premium manufacturers including Bosch, Fein, Festool, Fischer, Gedore, Kärcher, Wiha and many more, the Procato platform does not only have a large product range but also a distinctive product range depth thanks to the complete product range of premium brands. Additionally, the products are presented with numerous professional pictures and videos.

Smart Commerce was hired by Procato to support the go live of the platform and to accompany the launch with controlling and project audit activities. Thus, Procato could benefit from Smart Commerce´s many years of eCommerce experience during the project.

A detailed and profound analysis and examination of the requirements documents at the beginning of the cooperation enabled a definition of the target-performance condition. During the following project audits, a risk analysis was executed and the constant supervision and communication of the project status was set up. The final writing and testing of test cases rounded the support off.

Thanks to these full analyses, the wealth of eCommerce experience, the well-directed project controlling and the overall consulting services, the customer was provided with a profound overview and insight in the current project status and necessary parameters could still be adjusted to realize the planned go live in the third quarter of 2015.

Following this project, Smart Commerce will now be responsible for the technical project management of the further development of the platform.
